Load Safe Australia confirms the effectiveness of the Ball Baffle System in controlling liquid surge in tankers.

Dear Peter, Re: Ball Baffle Effectiveness Testing

Following the dynamic testing of the Rapid Spray Ball Baffle System carried out by Werner Ihle Consulting Engineers, which I observed at Deca in Shepparton on March 19 2009, I have analysed the test results, comparing the performance of a vehicle fitted with a large single-compartment tank, partially filled, with and without ball baffles.

The tests showed that the ball baffle system was very effective in minimising liquid surge and sloshing in the partially filled tank during braking and cornering and thereby ensuring that the vehicle’s stability was not adversely affected.

The Rapid Spray Ball Baffle System thereby demonstrated compliance with the Load Restraint Guide Performance Standards for Bulk Liquids for partially filled large single-compartment tanks.

The Rapidspray Boomless Nozzle can cover from 3.5m to 17m, it depends on your needs.

Simply work out what you require and we have a boomless nozzle to suit. The RBNK02 (7m) nozzle can run off our popular 12 volt, 7.7l/min Delavan Pump while at the other end of the scale our RBNK20 needs a minimum of 30 l/min delivering up to 190 litres/hectare.

Did you know?

There has been much confusion about filling Diesel tanks and what is and isn't allowed. The statement below will clear up any doubts about the legality of RapidDiesel Tanks.

Statement of Suitability for RapidSpray Diesel Tanks

The diesel tanks manufactured by Rapid Spray Southern are suitable to be used for the transport of Diesel Fuel in Australia.

Rapid Spray diesel tanks are made form a material specifically designed for use in rotationally moulded diesel tanks. This material has been tested to ensure it meets the mechanical and chemical resistance requirements of international regulations ECE R34.01 Annex 5 Section 5.0 and European Directive 2000/8/EC.

The anti static lead supplied on all Rapid Spray diesel tanks exceeds the requirements of AS1940-2004 and AS2809.2-2008.

Filler caps and vents supplied on Rapid Spray diesel tanks comply with AS1940-2004.

Diesel Fuel is NOT classified as a Dangerous Good according to the Australian Code for the Transport of Dangerous Goods by Road and Rail. (As stated by fuel company MSDS.)

Diesel Fuel is NOT classed as a Flammable Liquid in Australia it has the lower classification of 'Combustible Liquid C1.' (As stated by fuel company MSDS.)

Rapid Spray Diesel Tanks are NOT subject to the requirements of AS NZS 2906-2001 as they are all designed to contain a volume greater than 25 litres.
